Program Offices

The Program Management Office’s organizational structure offers the essential platform needed to design, develop, procure and field the hundreds of pieces of equipment used to enhance Soldiers’ performance and safety. The four board-selected PMO’s oversee a total of nine Product Management Offices and Directorates that are responsible for managing the life cycles of virtually everything Soldiers wear or carry into combat.

Project ManagerSoldier Protection and Individual Equipment (PM SPIE)

PM SPIE

PM SPIE

PM SPIE develops and fields advanced Soldier personal protection products, comfortable uniforms and environmental clothing that enhance mission effectiveness, and improved parachute systems. These products are designed to protect Soldiers and allow them to operate in any conditions.

Project ManagerSoldier Sensors and Lasers (PM SSL)

PM SSL

PM SSL

PM SSL provides Soldiers with improved lethality, mobility, and survivability in all weather and visibility conditions. Soldier-borne sensors and lasers enhance the Soldier's ability to see in all battlefield and lighting conditions, to acquire objects of military significance before the Soldier is detected, and to target threat objects accurately for engagement by Soldiers or precision-guided munitions. These systems provide critical, on-the-ground direct support to U.S. forces.

Project ManagerSoldier Warrior (PM SWAR)

PM SWAR

PM SWAR

PM SWAR supports Soldiers through the acquisition of integrated Soldier systems. PM SWAR product managers develop and integrate components into complete systems designed to increase Soldiers' situational awareness and combat effectiveness, decrease combat load, and improve mission flexibility.

Project ManagerSoldier Weapons (PM SW)

PM SW

PM SW

PM SW ensures that Soldiers on the battlefield have overmatch capabilities in individual and crew served weapons. PM SW supports Soldiers through the development, production, fielding, and sustainment of current and future weapons systems, as well as associated target acquisition/fire control products. As a result of PM SW's efforts, Soldiers benefit from continuous improvement programs and are equipped with systems that enhance both survivability and lethality.
