Project Manager Soldier Lethality (PM SL) held an assumption of charter ceremony for Product Manager Small Arms Fire Control (PdM SAFC), at Fort Belvoir, Va. on Aug. 28, where Lieutenant Colonel Erick Taylor was installed as PdM SAFC’s new product manager.
In keeping with tradition, Colonel Jason Bohannon, PM SL, passed the Army Acquisition Corps flag to LTC Taylor signifying the official transfer of responsibility. He also presented the new product manager with a copy of his charter.
We welcome LTC Taylor and his family to the PEO Soldier team as he assumes his role of PdM SAFC.
PdM SAFC is made up of programs that enhance a Soldier’s target acquisition and time on target -- Family of Weapons Sights – Individual (FWS-I), Family of Weapon Sights – Sniper (FWS-S), Small Tactical Optical Rifle Mounted (STORM) Micro-Laser Rangefinder (MLRF), as well as the Next Generation Squad Weapon – Fire Control -- ensuring the Warfighter is equipped with the most advanced technology in order to remain lethal and dominant on the battlefield.
