We Hear You! Enhancing Soldier Feedback Through PEO Soldier’s Voice of the Soldier Data Platform
December 5, 2024 — Early in 2024, Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier’s Chief Information Office (CIO) in concert with the Assistant Program Executive Office (APEO) launched the Voice of the Soldier (VotS) data platform in support of the OK Analysis initiative, this effort aimed at strengthening the connection – and communication – between the operational force (Soldiers) and the Army's acquisition and material development communities. The VotS data platform demonstrates a method in how the Army gathers and utilizes feedback from its Soldiers to ensure cutting edge capabilities are fielded that Soldiers will use. Personnel Airdrop Team Supports LeadFest Paratrooper Competition
November 5, 2024 — In August, the Rhode Island National Guard hosted LeapFest 2024, an international paratrooper competition, in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. The event highlighted elite international paratrooper skills and promoted camaraderie and Esprit de Corps among the community of professional paratroopers. Various Allied Foreign Militaries and the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps took part. Tracy Stender Moves LASSO Program Forward
May 29, 2024 — Tracy Stender currently serves as the Support Acquisition Manager (SAM) for the Low Altitude Stalking and Strike Ordnance (LASSO) program. LASSO is a man-portable, tube launched, lethal payload munition, unmanned aerial system. It includes electrical optical /infrared sensor, precision flight control, and the ability to fly, track and engage non-line-of-sight targets and armored vehicles with precision lethal fires. March 25, 2024 — Born and raised in Alexandria, Va., Britt Wieland grew up going to the Ft. Belvoir summer camp. Now, as a civilian engineer with PEO Soldier, she works on the Army’s next generation body armor at Fort Belvoir. Wieland’s primary focus as a Body Armor Engineer is the Army’s new hard armor.
