Simulator Pulse Oximetry - S57953

Simulator Pulse Oximetry

Mission:
Without the Simulator, the 68A, Medical Equipment Repairman cannot validate that the patient monitoring devices are operating correctly IAW manufacture specification, patients could be incorrectly diagnosed, provided incorrect treatment, and more harm could occur to the patient.

Description:
The Simulator Pulse Oximetry is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), medically unique, special purpose TMDE used by the 68A during the repair and calibration of Pulse Oximeters found at the levels of care. The Pulse Oximetry tests the probe independently and can thus isolate opens and shorts since most pulse oximetry failures are ultimately traced to the probes.
