Maxillofacial Shield (MFS)

Mission:
Provides Aircrew with facial ballistic protection from fragments and structure impacts.

Description:
The Maxillofacial Shield (MFS) protects Army Aircrew members from ballistic threats. They provide improved field of view and anti-fogging capabilities over the previous MFS design. They work with the Aircrew Integrated Helmet System (AIHS) HGU-56/P helmet. It is compatible with visors, the Aviator Night Vision Imaging System (ANVIS), Communication Ear Plugs (CEP), Communication Enhancement and Protective System (CEPS), spectacles, microphones and lip lights.
